Sally is committed to encouraging and mentoring the next wave of business leaders. It may not be at an Olympiad level, but with dedication, focus and preparation we can surprise and thrill ourselves with our ability to master challenges. Sally believes, through these projects, adventures and experiences, that we can achieve what ever we fully commit ourselves to. The project has taken Sally to all corners of the world, climbing in the Everest region, summiting Mt Kilimanjaro, living with a Masai Mara tribe, exploring happiness in Bhutan, experiencing spirituality throughout India and in Ashrams, walking across Spain on the Camino de Santiago, visiting Mandela’s jail and Gandhi’s house, studying the effect of meditation on the mind with Thich Nhat Hanh in Plum Village, France, partaking in a drawing Marathon (with real artists), and generally pushing the envelope of life whenever the opportunity has arisen. For example living (in turns) creatively, adventurously, compassionately, dangerously, spiritually and so forth. Her Mastery and the Mind project involved living completely different lives for 28 days each. She wound back her fashion business and began work on a project that involved stretching her comfort zone, which was a perfect foil for her relentless optimism, energy, curiosity and sense of adventure. The experience strengthened her most basic belief: "Don't let fear get in the way of your dream! No matter if your dream is conquering Everest, starting a business, building a better relationship, pursuing your chosen path, having a baby or writing 'that' book - just don't let fear get in the way of your dream!" Her Everest experience, as she describes it 'getting as high as you can (without drugs and alcohol!)', lead her to a fascination with Mastery and the Mind. In the late 90’s Sally went for ‘a bit of a stroll' in the Everest Region to overcome her fear of height. Sally's past speaking engagements (clients and testimonials).
